You don’t know since when, your pet has become a part of your life. Now you are moving, you sure want to take him/her with you. But relocating your darling abroad can be an intricate task. It requires a great deal of planning and preparation of documents and certificates.
No worries. With Excel Moving, we can take care of everything for you, including customs, quarantine, transport, health and vaccinations, documentation and additional costs.
  • 1. First Things First

    Before we start planning, we'll need to ensure that your pet is allowed to legally enter the country that you’re visiting. Each country has its own entry requirements for pets e.g. vaccinations, breeds, etc., so it’s important for us to check these in order to you will be responsible for any fees or charges if your pet doesn’t meet the entry requirements.
  • 2. Choose Travel Options

    You should choose whether your pet traveling as manifest cargo / unaccompanied luggage or traveling as excess baggage / accompanied luggage.
  • 3. Rabies Vaccination
    and ISO Microchip

    Pet must be vaccinated by the government veterinary clinic against rabies and other annual vaccines (Dog-DHPPiL, Cat-Feline 3-in-1) if required. Vaccinations must be given more than 30 days and less than 1 year prior to departure. Original vaccination records must be provided. Pet must bear an ISO microchip.
  • 4. Reserve A Flight

    Photocopy of your passport is required including the picture page, Chinese visa page and last entry stamp (into China) page. We also need your e-ticket itinerary to reserve a flight for your pet.
  • 5. Pre-Travel Health
    Check/Certificate

    By receiving all mentioned documents, 7 working days before departure, do pre-travel health check at the government vet clinic and obtain the export health certificate. The official export health certificate is ready 2 days before departure.
  • 6. Departure

    On date of departure, take the pet to the airport and we can help with the airport clearance and pet check-in procedure.

  • 4. Customs Clearance

    Owner's original passport is required to do the customs clearance at the airport. Owner's name on the Rabies Certificate and the Health Certificate must match the passport name without error.
  • 5. Mandatory Quarantine

    Pets arriving in Shanghai are subject to 7 days’ mandatory quarantine at the government facility. Visiting of pets at the quarantine is NOT allowed.
  • 6. Take Home

    Now you have finally take him to the new home.
